The dust has settled at the 2022 Strathmore Stampede with Kurt Bensmiller finishing the weekend with the top aggregate time. Layne MacGillivray now leads the world standings.

Day one of the Strathmore Stampede gets underway at 7pm tonight. Rae Croteau Jr. sits first in the World Standings and is coming off a win at the Battle of the Foothills in High River. We talk with the driver about his win, and more.

Kris Molle had the fastest time during night two of the Battle of the Foothills with Dustin Gorst just one one-hundredth of a second behind him. Molle holds the top aggregate spot for the show heading into night threes action.

It has been two weeks since all the members and permit drivers of the WPCA have been together. In that time Layne MacGillivray won the Richard Cosgrave Safety award at the Calgary Stampede, Kris Molle won the Cowboys Rangeland Derby, and Dustin Gorst was the NACC champion!
The North American Chuckwagon Championship has come to a close with Dustin Gorst winning the Championship ahead of his older brother Logan Gorst, along with Jamie Laboucane and Wade Salmond.
Across the province we are just ramping up for Championship Sunday at the Calgary Stampede. Layne MacGillivray finished with the top Aggregate time after nine days of racing, Kurt Bensmiller came in second, with Kris Molle rounding out the top three.

Chad Fike's day money run last night was not only his third of the Cowboys Rangeland Derby, but also the new fastest time of the week. Beating the 1:12.81 he ran back on day two by twenty one hundredths of a second. With two nights left before Championship Sunday, Layne MacGillivray, Kurt Bensmiller, and Obrey Motowylo are the top three in the aggregate.
After night seven we caught up with Hayden Motowylo and chatted about his first experiences as an outrider at the Calgary Stampede.

Night one of the Calgary Stampede saw Darcy Flad take the top time of the night with a 1:13.07. Between Flad's top time of the night and the bottom time of the night there was 5.11 seconds. Meaning it was some tight racing on the track.

After 1090 days the wagons will roll again at the Calgary Stampede. 27 Drivers will compete in nine heats over ten days to be apart of the dash on Championship Sunday. $371 050 was the grand total for the first GP Stompede Gala and Tarp Sale. The night saw 36 World Professional Chuckwagon Drivers and four WPCA permit drivers auctioned off for the first stop of the pro tour. The night was not only a tarp sale, but also a fundraiser for the Children’s Memorial Garden Project in Grande Prairie. Kass Patterson talked with local driver Tuff Dreger about the kick off to his hometown show, and GP Stompede President Trevor Denis.
