$371 050 was the grand total for the first GP Stompede Gala and Tarp Sale. The night saw 36 World Professional Chuckwagon Drivers and four WPCA permit drivers auctioned off for the first stop of the pro tour. The night was not only a tarp sale, but also a fundraiser for the Children’s Memorial Garden Project in Grande Prairie. Kass Patterson talked with local driver Tuff Dreger about the kick off to his hometown show, and GP Stompede President Trevor Denis.
The 2022 Calgary Stampede Tarp Sale saw $2.1 million spent. Four time Calgary Stampede Champion Kurt Bensmiller got the top bid of the night, for $185 thousand. Kass Patterson talks with Bensmiller and WPCA driver Kris Molle after the event.
