GP Stompede 2022 Gala and Tarp Sale

The Grande Prairie Stompede held the first Gala and Tarp Sale last night.

The night saw 36 World Professional Chuckwagon drivers and four WPCA Permit drivers were auctioned off for Mays Grande Prairie Stompede. Kass Patterson talked with local chuckwagon driver Tuff Dreger about this kick-off to his hometown show.

The night was also a fundraiser for the Children's Memorial Garden Project in Grande Prairie, led by the Tiny Hands of Hope and Compassionate Friends of Grand Prairie. GP Stompede President Trevor Denis talks about the funds raised for the cause.

The nights' total bid for the Chuckwagon Drivers was $371 050, with Rae Croteau Jr. getting the night's highest bid from Kaidak Energy Services for $26000.
